Tap
to read eText in a variety of formats
OpieReader is an e-text reading program which understands Plucker, several varieties of PalmDoc format (types 1,2 and 4), zTxt, plain text (with some uderstanding of PML and HTML) and gzipped text.
In addition it supports its own very highly compressed format which is based on ppm modified to allow random access. I call this modified format ppms (for ppm, segmented).
Start it up and then choose "File/Open" from the menu or press
. Select a
palmdoc, plain text, gzipped text or ppms file from the file selector
and use the cursor keys to page up/down (up/down keys) or press
/
or tap and hold in the top/bottom half of the screen (but see set margin.
For Plucker docs the screen is divided into three, vertically, so that page up is tap and hold in the top third, page down is tap and hold in the bottom third and back/home/forward is tap and hold in the centre third, depending on whether you tapped and held in the left/centre/right thirds of it. Navigation in Plucker docs can also be done via plain taps, or with the cursor keys.
To make the text size comfortable use the left/right keys and thats it for most uses. See below for more advanced use.
